A fun filled Saturday

Today was a busy day for Ava, Mike and I. It started with Ava's first gymnastics class at the Cypress Gymnastics Academy. She was a little shy at first but then she ended up having a lot of fun. There are girls in her class who are named Ava and Jayde. She was a bit confused at times considering that is her first and middle name! After we formally enrolled her into the class we got to get her a leotard! She picked a bright blue one. We will be sporting it next week...so stay tuned for more gymnastics pics. :)
After class we headed over to Aunt Paula's house for Ally's 4th birthday party. They were having a pool party and we were really excited to go and see everyone and to let Ava experience a pool for the first time. By the end she was kicking her feet and splashing around. Ally had a great birthday party. She got a lot of Hannah Montana gifts. After opening them she proclaimed to her Dad that she is now a rockstar because she has all of the stuff. Then all of her friends called her Hannah! Super cute. When the pinata came out they wanted to give Ava a turn but I knew that she would not have been able to pick up the stick so we declined but they did give her a bag of candy, which she liked. Here are some pictures from our great day together...

Then after a busy day we headed to Luby's for dinner. Ava was still wide awake and ate her dinner and her Papa's side of macaroni (along with hers). Without a nap all day we were sure she would be worn out but she is still going strong right now and dancing to the Backyardigans!
