Mike is the BIG 3-0!

Yesterday was Mike's birthday. He turned the big 3-0! Ava and I got him a new TV to celebrate this milestone. We got him a 55" LCD just in time for football. He was so suprised. Since he was taking the week of his birthday as vacation we went ahead and gave it to him early so he could enjoy it. I took off Thursday and Friday to hang out with him.



On his birthday we kept Ava out of school and we went to the Downtown Aquarium. We had a lot of fun. She liked seeing the fish and I think she now has a new appreciation for our small aquarium at home.








After the aquarium we went to dinner with Geoff at Salt Grass! Mike forgot his wallet so we were nervous that he couldn't toast to his own birthday, but they didn't card him so he lucked out. We had a great time catching up with Geoff. He recently went back to UT to work on his PhD so it was great to get one last visit in before school starts up for him on Wednesday. After dinner we headed back to the house for cake. I decorated the house and made Mike a cake on Wednesday night. After I went to bed Mike went and added his last name to the cake. LOL As if there was another Mike living in the house who happened to have the same birthday as him. He is so funny.


Debbie was so sweet to come over and watch Ava for us so we could go to dinner. When we got home she was bathing Ava and getting her ready for bed. Before we put her down she had to sing to Papa and have cake. She also stayed up a little past her bedtime to visit with Uncle Geoff. She got a kick out of all the magic tricks he was doing. So now day two of the celebration continues. We are headed for massages this afternoon and then to the movies later.
